HELPER, Carbon County Police are investigating the death of a man found at the bottom of an embankment near here.
Merrill Vee Ivie, 33, Price, was reported missing on Nov. 4. He was found Monday afternoon at the bottom of an embankment near U.S. 6.
"A Union Pacific worker was going to work on the railroad and saw the car," Utah Highway Patrol trooper Cameron Roden said Tuesday. "It was well out of the view from the roadway."
UHP troopers said they are investigating what caused Ivie's 2006 GMC Sierra to go off the road and roll down the embankment. The man was not wearing a seat belt and died from head injuries, Roden said.
Ivie's body has been sent to the state medical examiner for autopsy to determine how long it had been there.
