SOUTH SALT LAKE Two employees of a taco stand were robbed at gunpoint with an assault rifle early Monday.
The two were just closing up their taco stand in back of a nightclub at 3620 S. State when they were approached by two men about 2:45 a.m., said South Salt Lake police detective Gary Keller.
The robbers pointed the rifle at the victims, demanded cash and then left after receiving an undisclosed amount of money, Keller said.
The men, one in his early 20s and the other in his late 20s, were last seen driving away in an older model Dodge Durango.
Keller said because neither victim speaks English, officers were still working Monday to get a more detailed description of the gunmen.
