A man stabbed in the back while doing his laundry at a downtown laundromat has been upgraded to fair condition.
The 40-year-old victim, whose name had not been released as of Monday, was stabbed at the Century Cleaning Barn in Salt Lake City.
According to Salt Lake Police Lt. Scott White, the attacker, a Hispanic male about 20, entered the shop at 910 W. North Temple just after 5 p.m. Sunday. He then walked directly to the victim, stabbed him in the back and left after delivering the blow.
The attack was believed to be part of a love triangle and was not random, said Salt Lake police spokeswoman Lara Jones.
The victim was initially taken to the hospital in critical condition.
