OGDEN Weber State football coach Ron McBride is back in Ogden after spending the night at Pocatello's Portneuf Medical Center on Saturday. McBride missed much of the Wildcat's playoff-clinching victory over Idaho State after he experienced shortness of breath and became lightheaded during the game.
McBride, who signed a contract extension last week with WSU, was taken to the Pocatello hospital for testing and observations. Tests did not reveal anything to keep him hospitalized and he was released Sunday morning.
He returned to Utah with his wife and is expected to be back with the Wildcats later this week when they resume practice.
WSU has a bye week and closes out the regular season against Eastern Washington on Nov. 22.
