LAYTON Police have arrested a suspected serial burglar accused of preying on cars in the Chelsea Park subdivision.
Police said the 18-year-old man was arrested after police traced a stolen cell phone and a stolen credit card. The burglaries began in October, when officers allege the man targeted unlocked cars and took wallets, credit cards, cash, digital music players and cell phones.
Police said they have linked the man to at least a dozen vehicle burglaries. Ricardo Diaz Jr. was booked into the Davis County Jail for investigation of burglary, theft and credit card fraud.
