Championships set for 2A and 1A football

2A PLAYOFFS

NORTH SUMMIT 35, JUAB 28: Deven Holmes rushed for three touchdowns on distances of 78, 25 and 5 yards, while teammate Colby Richins scored on a 73-yard run the result of a hook-and-ladder play and then a 36-yard fumble recovery as defending 2A state champion North Summit knocked off previously undefeated Juab. North Summit lost to Juab during the regular season on a last-second touchdown but it avenged that loss in Saturday's semifinals.

MANTI 26, SAN JUAN 13: The Templars punched their ticket to the 2A championship game with some stifling defense against previously undefeated San Juan. Griffin Aste led the way for the Templars with two passing touchdowns and one rushing score. Manti will play North Summit in the title game next Saturday, having already beat the Braves earlier this year.

1A PLAYOFFS

KANAB 26, PAROWAN 13: Craig Brinkerhoff passed for 243 yards passing and two touchdowns to lead Kanab past Parowan and into next week's 1A championship game. Bryce Hafen chipped in with two rushing touchdowns and one receiving TD. It was Kanab's 46th straight victory over Parowan, which only trailed by seven heading into the fourth quarter Saturday.

NORTH SEVIER 42, RICH 27: North Sevier pulled away in the second half to beat Rich for the second time this year and advance to the 1A championship next Saturday at Timpview High School. Tanner Larsen completed 12-of-18 passes for 172 yards and three touchdowns, while Wyatt Mason and Josh Bates combined to rush for 179 yards to lead North Sevier into a football championship game for the first time in school history
