A pedestrian remained hospitalized in critical condition Tuesday morning after investigators say he dashed out in front of a car on the 900 South onramp to I-15.
Utah Highway Patrol trooper Cameron Roden said the man, 30, waited until the last moment as the woman's car approached and then jumped in front of the vehicle about midnight Monday.
The man, who was not carrying identification, suffered multiple injuries and was taken to Intermountain Medical Center.
Roden said the incident is being investigated as a possible suicide attempt. The woman was uninjured.
