A woman attacked a man Saturday night and stole his bus fare, police said.
Police said the victim was walking down Main Street around 10:45 p.m. when the woman approached and demanded his money. She punched and kicked him before she made off with his $2.50 bus fare.
Police stopped a 42-year-old woman near the Capitol Theatre, and the victim later identified her as the person who assaulted him. Police said the man suffered a cut lip in the robbery.
The woman was booked into Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of robbery, public intoxication and for having a $25,000 aggravated robbery warrant.
