The courses feel and look authentic and the optional commentary or tips about each hole feel like real-world golf. Few gamers will ever play Pebble Beach, but the simulation of it with accurate locations of sandtraps, trees and green architecture look and feel real.

A great feature of the game is the ability to import your own face into the game on Xbox Live and use it for character creation. The customization of golfers and the extra clothes and equipment and details add significant

interest.

THE WRAP UP

PARENT'S TAKE:

The game is not offensive, although occasionally frustrated golfers behave or speak in ungentlemanly ways. It will be a little boring for younger children as it distinctly lacks explosions or mayhem.

FINAL WORD: With its lovely visuals, fun and challenging gameplay, extensive online features and excellent customization, this is a worthy game to be "the" golf game in your library. Those who find golf boring should skip it as it makes every attempt to feel and play like golf. Some of the pace of golf will bother some fast-paced gamers.
