The Great Salt Lake Audubon is hosting several events and field trips for November, including:
• Today, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Sunflower seed pickup at the Central Office Plaza, 2880 S. Main, Salt Lake City.
• Nov. 5, 9 a.m.: A morning of birding at the Mountain Dell Recreation Area in Parleys Canyon. Call Sylvia Gray at 801-532-3486 to attend.
• Nov. 8, 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.: Birding (specifically the tundra swan) at Compton's Knoll in Salt Creek Waterfowl Management Area and other birding spots. Call Deedee O'Brien at 801-272-8060 to attend.
• Nov. 18, 7 p.m.: GSLA monthly meeting at the Sugarhouse Garden Center.
• Nov. 19, 8:45 a.m.-noon: Birding at Bountiful Pond, just west of the Legacy Parkway near 500 South in Bountiful. Call O'Brien at 801-272-8060 to attend.
• Nov. 26, 8:30 a.m.: A GSLA monthly visit to Farmington Bay. Call O'Brien at 801-272-8060 to attend.
