An Arizona woman faces charges of sexual solicitation and drug possession after police busted her in a sting operation.

A Salt Lake City police officer arranged to meet the 33-year-old woman who posted an ad on an adult Internet Web site, according to charges filed Tuesday in 3rd. District Court. The two met at the Baymont Inn on Sunday near 2080 W. North Temple. The officer gave her $300, and she started to massage him.

The woman asked him if he wanted anything else, charges state, and he said he wanted to have sex with her. The officer then alerted back-up officers to swarm. When the woman realized it was a sting, she grabbed an ashtray, ran into the bathroom and flushed the contents in the toilet. She also threw a hollow pen covered in white residue into the corner. Police said the substance tested positive for methamphetamine.

The woman has been charged with sexual solicitation and possession of a controlled substance — a class B misdemeanor and a third-degree felony.
