SPANISH FORK — Police have arrested a man they say bought alcohol for a 14-year-old girl, her younger sister and two friends and then sexually accosted one of them.

A 14-year-old girl reported to police that she had been approached by a 21-year-old man who offered to buy them beer, according to 4th District Court documents.

The girl and her friends got into the man's van and drove around Spanish Fork with him as he purchased beer at a gas station and a grocery store.

Two of the girls refused to drink the alcohol, but the 14-year-old girl told police she had some and eventually passed out.

She told police she awoke to the man touching her genital area, then having sex with her, according to the affidavit.

The man was booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, supplying alcohol to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor on $10,000 cash-only bond. — Sara Israelsen-Hartley
