The pain that sent Julianne Hough from the "Dancing with the Stars" ballroom to the hospital turned out to be more serious than a stomachache and it will keep her off the dance floor.
The 20-year-old professional dancer and country music singer, who's partnered with "Hannah Montana" actor Cody Linley, will undergo minor surgery today to remove her appendix.
"I'm actually going into surgery tomorrow to remove my appendix, but everything is OK," Hough said on the show Monday. "I'm going to hopefully be back if everything goes as planned next week."
Hough went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following last week's live results show and later said she had a stomachache and was feeling fine.
