Utah Democrats now have their own radio show, at least for the next two Saturdays.

"Utah Values, Democratic Values" will air on KLO 1430 AM, the state party announced. The hour-long program will begin at noon on Saturday and at 7 a.m. on Nov. 1, three days before the general election.

The call-in program will be moderated by Mark Van Wagoner and feature Democrats "and other concerned Utahns discussing the issues that voters care about as they go to the polls," according to the party.

"You won't hear rants or media bashing. No ideological tirades," state Democratic Party Chairman Wayne Holland said. "I think listeners who tune in will discover that our lawmakers and candidates better represent their values."

The Republicans have their own Saturday radio show, "Inside Utah Politics, Setting the Record Straight," from 8 to 10 a.m. on K-TALK 630 AM. The show is billed as being for "those tired of getting their news filtered by the liberal local media."
