Vehicle accidents have claimed the lives of two people in recent days.
A Nevada man was killed in a rollover accident Wednesday morning on I-70 in Sevier County.
The crash happened about 11:30 a.m., said Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Cameron Roden.
Neal Travis McAvee, 65, of Las Vegas, was killed when he drifted off the right shoulder and then overcorrected, causing his pickup truck to roll into the median.
A 68-year-old passenger was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition, Roden said.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
A 13-year-old boy died Monday after an all-terrain vehicle crash in some sand dunes near Hurricane.
The crash happened about 8 p.m. Monday near the Sky Ranch housing development. A family member came upon Jeffrey Cheney, pinned underneath the ATV.
"Nobody was riding with him. They found him wearing his helmet. He fell off or it (the ATV) rolled on him," said Washington County sheriff's detective Nate Abbott.
Cheney was pronounced dead at the scene.
