AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Tayshaun Prince's post-Olympic slump might finally be over.

Prince, averaging just seven points on 31 percent shooting, scored 17 points in 29 minutes Wednesday night, and the Pistons beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 97-79.

The Cavaliers were playing without LeBron James, who was in uniform but took a planned night off.

Prince won gold with the United States in Beijing, but has struggled since getting back to the United States in time for Detroit's training camp. Before Wednesday, he hadn't scored more than 12 in any of Detroit's six exhibition games.

"Tonight, I got a lot of open looks in the corner, and I was able to knock some of them down," he said. "I was just taking the shots that came to me."

Prince had 11 points during Detroit's third-quarter run, including two 3-pointers, which matched his total in the first six games.

WIZARDS 100, SPURS 95: At San Antonio, Nick Young scored 15 points in his preseason debut to help the Washington Wizards beat the San Antonio Spurs 100-95 on Wednesday night.

Young, a second-year swingman from USC, made his first five shots and finished 7-of-8 from the floor. Young had missed the first five preseason games with a sore left knee.

Washington also got 15 points in 23 minutes from Caron Butler, who has scored in double figures the past two games.

The Spurs were led by Tim Duncan's 20 points in 22 minutes. Duncan, who made 8-of-9 free throws, also grabbed eight rebounds.

MAGIC 101, GRIZZLIES 90: At Orlando, Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu each scored 22 points to lead the Orlando Magic to a 101-90 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies Wednesday night in the final preseason game for both teams.

J.J. Redick, competing for time at shooting guard, added 15 as the Magic cruised to their sixth straight preseason win.

Reserve Darrell Arthur led Memphis with 18 points. Mike Conley added 13.

Magic star Dwight Howard, who played sparingly in the second half, had 11 points and eight rebounds as Orlando showed signs of being ready to improve on its 52-win, Eastern Conference semifinal performance last season.

76ERS 118, NETS 100: At East Rutherford, N.J., Lou Williams scored 18 points and hit five of the Philadelphia 76ers' 14 3-pointers in a 118-100 victory over the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday night.
