McCain's v.p. joke not funny

As a liberal, America-loving, Obama-supporting hockey mom, I enjoyed Sarah Palin's comedic appearance on "Saturday Night Live." Though I disagree with her on pretty much everything, I do like a good sport.

Just as I enjoyed William Hung on "American Idol." America enjoyed Hung's memorable audition. We embraced him for being a good sport and making us laugh, but that didn't mean we wanted to listen to his CD for years to come.

Just as the producers of "American Idol" knew when that joke had to end, McCain should know his joke on America is not funny any more. America wants a serious vice president.
