The Salt Lake City Film Center and KUED will be hosting a Raucous Caucus Weekend to spark dialogue on current issues.
Guests Phil Donahue, Naomi Wolf and Michael Kirk will discuss topics such as the future of investigative journalism, the Iraq War and the 2008 presidential election.
The three-day event begins 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Rose Wagner Center for the Performing Arts, 138 W. 300 South.
Donahue's film "Body of War," a look into the costs of war once veterans return will kick off the weekend. The story centers on the struggles of 25-year-old Tomas Young who was paralyzed from a bullet to his spine in Iraq.
On Saturday, Kirk will show four films. Topics range from U.S. struggles in rebuilding Iraq to the difficult decisions voters will face in the 2008 election. A question-and-answer session will follow each screening.
On Sunday, Wolf will do a reading and signing for her new book "Give Me Liberty: A Handbook for American Revolutionaries."
