OREM A scared cashier handed over the contents of her cash register when a hooded, knife-wielding robber stopped at an Orem gas station Sunday night.
The man demanded cash while threatening the cashier with a knife before fleeing the Phillips 66 gas station, 790 N. 1200 West. Later on, police arrested an Orem man, 25, with blood on his hands at 1200 West and 600 North. He was booked into Utah County Jail for investigation of aggravated robbery, possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug-free zone and possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone.
Witnesses at the scene were able to give police a description of the hooded robber, and the Orem man fit that description. At the time of his arrest, police said the man had drug paraphernalia protruding from his pocket in plain view. Once arrested, police discovered approximately $250 cash and drug paraphernalia in the man's backpack.
