WEST VALLEY CITY Former presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., will be making a visit to Utah to campaign for the Democratic Party candidates on Saturday.
The event will be held at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center in West Valley City located at 1355 W. 3100 South.
In a Sunday press release, Clinton said she is looking forward to visiting Utah in support of potential Democratic victories in the state.
Clinton was a strong contender for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination before losing out to Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., who received the formal nomination at the party's Denver convention. Utah voters gave Obama the nod over Clinton during the state's primary election. Obama had planned a brief stop in Utah prior to the Feb. 5 primary but canceled the visit in deference to the death of LDS Church President Gordon B. Hinckley.
