SANDY A high school prank has landed three juveniles in trouble with the law.
About 3 a.m. Thursday, three juveniles ran inside 24 Hour Fitness, 1300 E. 10365 South, wearing nothing but "skimpy underwear," said Sandy Police Sgt. Justin Chapman.
The boys ran around the registration desk yelling profanities, and at least one jumped onto the receptionist's desk and taunted employees, Chapman said.
It's the second time the boys are believed to have done this. Chapman said investigators believe the three were the same ones who committed the same act a couple of weeks earlier.
This time, employees were able to call police with a description of the getaway vehicle. A nearby officer spotted the vehicle, and each boy was given a citation of disorderly conduct and released.
Officers were also looking into possible charges of disruption of a communication device because one of the juveniles in the first incident tried to prevent an employee from calling police, Chapman said.
