The following is a transcript of a 911 call received by Davis County emergency dispatch on Sept. 22 around 9:20 a.m. from Brian Wood who police shot to death after a 12-hour standoff that day:

Dispatch: 911 emergency.

Brian Wood: Yeah, I just beat and raped my wife. Come get me.

Dispatch: You what?

(No response. Background noise)

Dispatch: Hello?

(More noise. Dog barking)

Dispatch: Hello?

More background noise. Inaudible voices.)

Dispatch: Hello?

(More noise.)

Dispatch: Hello? Hello?

Recording ends.

Dispatch calls back. Elizabeth Wood answers the phone

Elizabeth: Hello?

Dispatcher: Hi, what's ... This is the 911 operator. What's going on over there?

Elizabeth: It's OK, his dad is here now.

Dispatch: What?

Elizabeth: It's fine, his dad is here right now. I'm fine.

Dispatch: Now what's going on over there? I have to send somebody. What's going on over there?

Elizabeth: I don't need you to send any one. I don't want to talk to anybody.

Dispatch: I know, but —

Elizabeth: (Cuts in) The last time they came it didn't even do me any d--- favors. I do not want anybody here.

Dispatch: I—I understand that, but you have
