CLASS 4A

Region 5 — In: Bountiful, Mountain Crest. Open berths (2): Sky View, Bonneville.

Sky View has clinched at least a tie for a berth. Roy must upset MC to stay alive.

Region 6 — In: Cottonwood, East, West. Open berths (2): Highland, Cyprus.

Highland will clinch with a win over West. Assuming the powerhouse Colts and Leopards defeat Granger and Cyprus, respectively, Olympus can eliminate Murray by beating the Spartans. Cyprus has the advantage over Olympus for the final berth since the Titans face Cottonwood next week while Cyprus hosts Granger.

Region 7 — In: Timpview. Open berths (4): Mountain View, Springville, Orem, Provo.

Mountain View and Springville have clinched at least a tie for a spot. Tooele must beat Provo to stave off elimination.

Region 9 — In: Pine View. Open berth (1): Dixie.

Story continues below
Dixie at Snow Canyon next week will determine the second team. If SC loses to Pine View this week (likely) and defeats Dixie (possible), then Dixie and SC would tie for second and play off for the spot.

CLASS 3A

Region 8 — In: Delta, Juan Diego. Open berths (3): Emery, North Sanpete, Salem Hills.

If last-place Carbon defeats North Sanpete next week, it could force a two- or three-way region playoff for the final one or two berths.

Region 9 — In: Hurricane. Open berths (2): Cedar City, Desert Hills.

Based on remaining games, it's likely the winner of the Desert Hills at Canyon View game on Thursday will go to state while the loser stays home.

Region 10 — In: none. Open berths (4): Judge, Park City, Union, Wasatch.

Region 10 will go to the final week; Park City has clinched at least a tie, but, mathematically anyway, there could be a five-way tie in this five-team region.

Region 11 — In: none. Open berths (4): Morgan, Logan, Ogden, winner of three-way playoff between Bear River, Ben Lomond and Grantsville.

Morgan has clinched at least a tie and the Trojans and Logan can snare a berth with wins this week. Some kind of three-way region playoff is likely between some combination of Bear River, Ben Lomond, Grantsville and Ogden.
