1. Timpview (7-0) Class: 4A

Was: 1. Points: 345. Last week: Beat Orem, 30-12.

Outlook: Timpview was hardly thrilled with the way it played last week. Next up: vs. Springville, Wednesday.

2. Alta (7-1) Class: 5A

Was: 2. Points: 336. Last week: Beat Hillcrest, 38-10.

Outlook: Hawks have a breather this week before closing the regular season at rival Jordan. Next up: vs. Taylorsville, Wednesday.

3. Cottonwood (8-0) Class: 4A

Was: 3. Points: 326. Last week: Beat East, 42-26.

Outlook: Colts impressively have the Reg. 6 title within their grasp with two games to go. Next up: at Granger, Wednesday.

4. Layton (7-1) Class: 5A

Was: 4. Points: 306. Last week: Beat Syracuse, 17-10.

Outlook: It wasn't easy, but the Lancers came-from-behind against Syracuse to get the job done. Next up: at Viewmont, Wednesday.

5. Bingham (6-2) Class: 5A

Was: 5. Points: 291. Last week: Beat Riverton, 48-21.

Outlook: Bingham will aim to avoid an upset against ever-improving Hunter. Next up: vs. Hunter, Wednesday.

6. Pleasant Grove (7-1) Class: 5A

Was: 6. Points: 276. Last week: Beat Spanish Fork, 56-34.

Outlook: Vikes scored in bunches to pick up key league win. Next up: vs. American Fork, Wednesday.

7. Mountain Crest (5-2) Class: 4A

Was: 8. Points: 267. Last week: Did not play.

Outlook: Who'd have thought three weeks ago that Mustangs would be the hotter team heading into Wednesday's showdown? Next up: at Sky View, Wednesday.

8. Pine View (7-1) Class: 4A

Was: 10. Points: 230. Last week: Beat Dixie, 28-20.

Outlook: Pine View closes out its two-game "regular season" this week. Next up: vs. Snow Canyon, Friday.

9. Jordan (5-3) Class: 5A

Was: T-14. Points: 205. Last week Beat Brighton, 42-34.
