Sloan suspects teams will put Oden in situations that are substantially different from those he faced in school.

"But (with) his talent level, it looks like he can handle about anything," the Jazz coach said.

Even without playing in the fourth quarter, Oden had 11 points and five rebounds in Portland's exhibition win over Atlanta on Friday night.

BLAZER INJURIES: The Blazers beat the Hawks 102-80 in Kansas City without regulars Martell Webster (foot), Channing Frye (ankle) and Steve Blake (hamstring), and without newcomer guard Rudy Fernandez (ankle).

Webster is out 8 to 10 weeks after a screw was inserted to repair a stress fracture in his left foot.

Fernandez, a member of Spain's Summer Olympics team, sprained his left ankle in Portland's home exhibition loss to Golden State on Wednesday.
