"Obviously the Jazz have to do whatever they need to do to win, and I totally understand that," Harpring said. "I mean, I don't want anyone waiting on me, or me holding up anyone. That's not what this is about. It's about winning, and hopefully I can get back."

INJURY UPDATES: All-Star power forward Carlos Boozer missed a second straight game Thursday due to his strained left hamstring. But Boozer said he plans to practice today, practice Saturday and — assuming all goes well — play Sunday at Portland.

Had Thursday's exhibition been a regular-season game, Boozer added, he could have played. But he's being cautious, especially since that's the same hamstring he tore when missing 49 games in the 2005-06 season.

Also out Thursday with a strained left hamstring was Kosta Koufos, injured in the first two minutes of Tuesday's preseason-opening win over the Los Angeles Lakers. The rookie big man dressed, but didn't play.

Backup center Jarron Collins left Thursday's morning shootaround with ice on his right elbow. Collins — who played seven minutes Thursday night — said he has bursitis in the joint and doesn't expect the inflammation to subside anytime soon.

Meanwhile, reserve guard Ronnie Price suffered a contusion to his lower right leg and is being listed as "day-to-day."

TV CHANGES: The Jazz have made several alterations to their previously released TV schedule, though all 82 regular-season games still will be televised — 16 on KJZZ, 60 on FSN Utah and the other six exclusively on TNT.

Three games previously scheduled as KJZZ broadcasts now will be shown on FSN Utah: Dec. 3 vs. Miami, March 31 at Portland and April 3 vs. Minnesota. Three others previously scheduled as FSN Utah broadcasts now will be shown on KJZZ: Dec. 5 vs. Toronto, April 11 vs. Golden State and April 13 vs. the Los Angeles Clippers.

KJZZ also pulled plans to broadcast two preseason games: Sunday's at Portland and an Oct. 18 exhibition at Chicago. Scheduling conflicts related to college football and satellite truck availability is the reason, a Jazz spokesman said.

MISC.: Phoenix absentees Thursday included Leandro Barbosa, who's been tending to his critically ill mother in Brazil, and Amare Stoudemire, out with a torn iris in his right eye. ... Ex-Jazz guard Raja Bell had 11 points and former Jazz forward Louis Amundson four for the Suns. ... Various Jazz players will attend high school football games tonight, including those at Cottonwood, Bountiful, Riverton, Layton, Alta and Juan Diego.
