HILL AIR FORCE BASE Active duty 388th Fighter Wing and Reserve 419th Fighter Wing pilots will be conducting night-flying missions through December.
Local residents will hear F-16s flying during the evening hours as pilots hone their night-flying skills through the use of advanced targeting pods and night vision goggles, according to a base news release.
Night missions will be flown Monday through Thursday beginning in the evening and ending shortly after midnight.
"Our pilots must be prepared to bring the F-16 to the fight at any time of day. We thank the local community for understanding and supporting our mission requirements," said Col. Stephen Langford, 388th Operations Group commander, in the release.
