WEST VALLEY CITY Thieves broke through the roof of a jewelry store at 1819 W. 3500 South early Monday morning and burglarized the safe, police said.
Lt. Dalan Taylor, of West Valley Police Department, said it appears the thieves entered Kim Sung Jewelry around 12:30 a.m. through the roof of an adjacent pharmacy. They punched a hole through the dry wall to gain entrance to the building and forced open the safe.
Taylor said the store owner, who discovered the burglary when he opened the store Monday morning, did not disclose how much was stolen. He also said it appears the thieves exited the building through the front door.
