POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — A 9-year-old boy is credited with saving his brother during a weekend house fire in Pocatello.

Anthony West helped pull his 2-year-old brother, Zachary West, from the blaze and most likely saved his life, according to Dave Dixon, an uncle.

Zachary West was transported to the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City Saturday with third-degree burns to nearly 50 percent of his body.

Also hurt in Saturday morning's fire was 8-year-old Nicole West, a sister, who received minor burns to her foot. Another sibling was unhurt.

The basement of the home of Steven and Tami West suffered fire damage, while the upstairs also sustained heat and smoke damage.

The children's aunt, Heidi Dixon, said the family lost most of its belongings in the fire.
