A Wal-Mart employee was arrested by Salt Lake police after he apparently tried to steal from his employer one too many times.
Starting Aug. 31 and lasting a little under a month, the 22-year-old employee took DVDs, an iPod, a video game and would take money from the nightly till by counting money and then knocking some to the floor and pretending to pick it all up. Instead, he pocketed some of the cash, said Salt Lake police detective Jeff Bedard.
The man, who worked at the Wal-Mart near 1300 South and 300 West, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of 15 counts of retail theft, all class B misdemeanors.
