In a recent Reader's Digest there is a cartoon showing "fat cat" congressional types with the caption "Isn't that the real genius of democracy? The voters are ultimately to blame."
Congress is planning to spend $700 billion of the taxpayers' money to bail Wall Street out of the major mess that their fat cat buddies have made without holding anyone accountable. Where have the federal regulators been? This whole mess amounts to legalized organized crime.
If this rescue ends up with the financial executives receiving golden parachutes, this is one voter who says, "Throw them all out of office."
