LAS VEGAS (AP) Guests evacuated three floors of the Bellagio casino resort Tuesday morning after a mattress fire left one man burned and others complaining of smoke inhalation, officials said.
Sprinklers contained the 5:50 a.m. fire to a single 26th-floor room, but smoke and water damaged nearby areas, Clark County Fire Chief Steve Smith said.
The guest in the room where the fire was located was burned on the arm and was taken to a hospital, fire spokesman Scott Allison said.
Fire officials also were investigating a fire Monday night in a 14th-floor mechanical room at the Venetian hotel-casino. Both hotels are on the Las Vegas Strip. A pile of large air filters caught fire, but the blaze was doused by sprinklers
