Utahns who'd like to learn more about the Wasatch Fault, and why it's overdue for a large earthquake, can now click on a new YouTube video.
With its sometimes cheery narration contrasted by ominous background music and sounds, the so-called "Wasatch Fault Fly By Video" lasts about 10 minutes. It can be found at www.youtube.com/watch?v=DByPiCkznE0.
Using GoogleEarth technology, the Utah Geological Survey video points out where segments of the fault are located, the areas of highest risk and what type of damage could occur in the event of a catastrophic quake somewhere along the fault.
