With the score tied at 16-all early in the fourth quarter, Utah opted to go for it on fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line. Mack made the decision a good one by scoring a touchdown to put the Utes ahead 23-16.

KEY CALL

Utah's defensive scheme shut down Air Force's ground game. The Falcons were held to just 53 yards rushing, their second-lowest total since switching to the option in 1980.
