WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: LARAMIE, Wyo. Mountain West Conference play started with a victory for the No. 24 Cougars (8-2), who recorded a sweep (25-14, 25-19, 27-25) of Wyoming on Thursday night in Laramie, Wyo.
WOMEN'S TENNIS: The Cougars have two players continuing in singles play today and three doubles pairs advancing. Matches will begin at 10 a.m. today and Saturday at the BYU outdoor tennis courts.

WOMEN'S SOCCER: The Aggies won their second-straight match against a team from Texas with a 2-0 shutout over the University of Texas at San Antonio on Thursday in Logan. Junior Lindsey Smart and sophomore Lauren Hansen scored for USU.
