OGDEN The Utah Highway Patrol is looking for a fugitive who led troopers on a high-speed chase, crashing into the front yard of a home here.
The chase began about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, when a UHP trooper attempted to stop a Ford Taurus on 30th Street. The vehicle fled on Fowler, leading the trooper on a chase for several blocks.
"The car just crashed," UHP trooper Cameron Roden said Tuesday. "There's a T-intersection at 27th and Fowler. He went straight through and hit a power pole."
The car ended up in the yard of a home. The driver, whom the UHP identified as 41-year-old Rory Cordova, fled on foot and has not been located. Cordova recently walked away from a work release program at the Weber County Sheriff's Keisel Jail.
The UHP planned to pursue charges against him through the Weber County Attorney's Office.
