PLAYER OF THE GAME
Paul Kruger, Utah
Kruger was a nightmare for the Aggies' offense, especially their quarterbacks. He sacked Diondre Borel three times and Sean Setzer once.
PLAY OF THE GAME
The game was still in doubt until late in the first quarter. But Utah pretty much put the game away when Justin Taplin-Ross forced Curtis Marsh to fumble, and Elijah Wesson picked it up and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown. The score put the Utes ahead 17-7.
KEY CALL
After falling behind 7-0 in the first quarter, the Utes aggressively took control of the game. Faced with a fourth-and-1 at Utah State's 4-yard line, Utah lined running back Matt Asiata behind center in the shotgun and he rumbled for a touchdown to tie the game.
QUOTABLE
"To be 3-0 at this point in the season is obviously right where we want to be." Kyle Whittingham, Utah head coach
