• KIMBERLY JOHNSON and MICHAEL DUMANIS, poets, will read their new collection, Monday, 7 p.m.; PJ HAARSMA, author of the series "The Softwire," will sign his latest, "Betrayal on Orbis 2," Tuesday, 7 p.m.; CHRISTOPHER PAOLINI, author of the "Eragon" series, will be celebrating the release of "Brisingr" on Friday, 10 p.m., at King's English Bookshop, 1511 S. 1500 East.

• STEPHEN TRIMBLE will read from his work "Bargaining for Eden" Wednesday, noon, at the Visual Arts Center on Weber State University in Ogden.
