Army Pvt. Jordan Thibeault of South Jordan died Sept. 5 in Iraq from injuries he sustained in a non-combat related incident, the Department of Defense announced Monday.
The incident is under investigation.
Thibeault, 22, was assigned to Germany-based 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division.
