PROVO — Not old enough to vote? Still want to voice your opinion? Then UR Votes Count has you covered.

Teens under the age of 18 will have the chance to participate in UR Votes Count — an interactive teen election — at Provo Towne Centre mall today and Saturday. The event, sponsored by General Growth Properties Inc. and Disney actress Selena Gomez, is part of a nationwide effort to engage teens on issues that impact their future.

UR Votes Count provides teens at 150 malls across 42 states a chance to weigh in on topics such as the environment, health care, the Iraq war and education, as well as who they would elect for president of the United States.

Once mall participants cast their vote, they can win giveaways and retail offers, as well as become eligible for a sweepstakes that includes a $5,000 shopping spree.

The teen election will be held in the J.C. Penney court at Provo Towne Centre today from 3 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. More information is available at urvotecounts.com.
