CROSS COUNTRY: The Aggies' Ben Kessen has been named the Western Athletic Conference men's cross country athlete of the week. It is the first time that Kessen has earned the weekly award during his USU career.
Kessen, a senior from La Crescenta, Calif., finished third overall in the Utah State Open last weekend to lead the USU men to a second-place team finish. Kessen ran the four-mile course in a time of 19:47.3. He was competing in his first meet since 2006 after reshirting last year due to an injury.
