A Salt Lake man has been charged with slashing a woman's face with a knife when she refused to dance with him last week.
The 30-year-old man was inside a home near 750 North and 900 West when he became angry with the woman and cut her above the eye, according to charges filed in 3rd District Court.
When another woman tried to stop the attack, the man hit her and knocked her to the ground, court documents state. The man then forced the two women out of the apartment but refused to let a third woman leave, according to the charges.
The man faces two counts of aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, and one count of unlawful detention, a class B misdemeanor.
