FILLMORE — A worker at a traveling carnival has been arrested on suspicion that he made sexual comments to teenage girls and fondled one of them.

Millard County Sheriff's deputies said the carnival was operating at Fillmore's fairgrounds on Friday. Deputies responded to a complaint that the suspect, 45-year-old Jeffery John Thomas, of Cottonwood, Ariz., had made inappropriate sexual comments toward a group of teenage girls. A 14-year-old girl claimed to have been inappropriately touched, deputies said.

Thomas was booked into the Millard County Jail on investigation of forcible sex abuse of a child, a second-degree felony, and class A misdemeanor lewdness involving a child.
