SARATOGA SPRINGS A Santaquin woman died in a car crash on state Route 68 Sunday evening. She has been identified as Brenda Vanausdal, 40.
Around 7:45 p.m., the driver of a Dodge pickup truck veered off the road, rolling the vehicle, said Lt. Steve Winward of the Utah Highway Patrol.
Two women were ejected from the truck. Vanausdal's arm was severed, and she died at the scene from her injuries, Winward said.
A 32-year-old woman and the 53-year-old driver, both from Santaquin, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. None of the three were wearing seat belts.
Police are investigating the possibility that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, Winward said.
