The man who died after his vehicle went over a cliff near the Hurricane-La Verkin bridge in southwestern Utah has been identified as Dan Terry Walker, 43, of Hurricane.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation, and the agency is awaiting the results of toxicology reports. However, the investigation to date has suggested to detectives that Walker drove over the cliff intentionally.
The incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14.
Walker's vehicle was heading north on SR-9 going toward La Verkin, but as it came near the bridge, it sped off the road on the east side and plunged over the 100-foot cliff.
