SACRAMENTO Sacramento collected its sixth straight win over Salt Lake on Thursday night, as the River Cats edged the Bees 4-3.
Sacramento jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings, but the Bees cut the deficit in half with two runs in the fifth inning on an RBI double by Adam Pavkovich and a run scoring single by Ryan Budde. They pulled to within one run in the seventh on an RBI single by Brad Coon.
After two outs in the ninth, Bobby Wilson and Budde delivered back-to-back singles to put runners at first and second, but Coon struck out swinging on a 3-2 pitch to end the game.
Dustin Moseley (6-9) took the loss, allowing four runs on eight hits in six innings.
