Women's volleyball

Logan Tom and her American teammates will face a packed Capital Gymnasium house as the United States (2-1) meets host China (2-1) in a key group match. The U.S. is coached by former Chinese volleyball star Jenny Lang Ping, who led China to a gold medal in the 1984 Los Angeles Games and then coached her national team to a silver at the 1996 Atlanta Games. Lang will try to reverse her fortunes by taking an American team to her native China soil in hopes of medaling.
