A special retrospective of works by Utah artist Henri Moser (1876-1951), Pathway to Color: The Art and Life of Henri Moser, will be held at Williams Fine Art, 200 E. South Temple, from Aug. 22-Sept. 4.

Moser, who immigrated to Utah as a child, trained in Paris when Matisse and the Fauvists were shocking the art world. He also studied at the French academies with Picasso.

Upon his return to Utah, Moser eventually rejected his classical training, turning instead to a Fauvist palette, creating color-drenched canvases.

For information on the retrospective's opening, contact Williams Fine Art at 534-0331.
