Auditions

The Utah Valley Symphony will hold auditions for its 50th season. The symphony will search for a concert master, French horns and a principal oboe. For more information and to schedule an appointment, contact 801-794-2961 or

The American Fork Symphony has openings for all instruments including strings and percussion. For more information contact Maxine Steele at 801-756-2330.

Rehearsals are held each Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at American Fork Junior High School, 1120 N. 20 West. Rehearsals begin on Saturday, Sept. 6. The symphony's first concert will be Oct. 20.

The Salt Lake Symphony is looking for musicians to audition for its 2008-09 season. Auditions will take place Tuesday, Aug. 26. Those wishing to schedule an audition should call Joyce Mahoney at 250-9419.

Musicians auditioning should prepare two contrasting pieces and be ready to sight read.
