CEDAR FORT, Utah County — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on state Route 73 Sunday night.
Walter Benjamin Escotto, 41, of Spanish Fork, was traveling eastbound when it appears he ran a stop sign and was hit by a car, said Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon.
The man died at the scene before deputies arrived. Witnesses said Escotto may have been unable to stop for a stop sign, and speed may have been a factor in the crash.
